The kindergarten program at Maple Street School provides five and six year old children abundant opportunities to manage their time, make choices, initiate and invite play, ask questions, solve problems, and experiment with both familiar and unfamiliar materials. Learning through play serves an important role in the cognitive, creative, language, social and physical development of young children. Kindergartners at Maple Street School have ample time to play and explore. They observe and discover life around them while developing a healthy respect for their world, their community and themselves.
