Physical Education

Physical education at Maple Street is a dynamic program that develops confidence, self-esteem, personal fitness, and a healthy desire to be physically active for life. Throughout the curriculum, students are asked to reflect both on their physical skill-building as well as their social-emotional behavior, recognizing the impact each individual has on a team.

In our Lower School curriculum, emphasis is placed on cooperation, movement education, and body and spatial awareness.

Upper School physical education emphasizes the long-term development of personal fitness, while a continued exposure to a wide variety of physical games and group challenges encourages students to work positively and productively as team members.
