Tuition Assistance

Maple Street is here to help as many families as possible afford an independent school education. We are committed to admitting students of diverse socio-economic backgrounds, who can benefit from our program.

Aid is determined by the family’s ability to pay, and the scholarship funds available at the time of application. To equitably distribute funds, families apply through the School and Student Service by NAIS. For more information regarding the SSS visit them online at:

We believe that the family holds the primary responsibility for the financial support of education. We ask families to explore their resources when applying for financial aid so that the available funds may be distributed fairly and where they are most needed.

Returning student financial aid applications are due by February 6, 2017. Prospective families should contact the Admissions office.

Please read before applying:

  • SSS estimates a family’s ability to pay school costs through a formulaic analysis of 2016 income, expenses, and family assets.
  • Applications are required annually, and awards are based on financial need.
  • Both custodial parents must file a PFS and all required documents in order for a family to be considered for a financial aid package.
  • All financial information is held in the strictest confidence. Applications for aid have no bearing on admissions decision.

The Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) must be completed and filed by February 6th.
To access the application, go to, then click the “Complete Your PFS” button.

The School’s code is 1605. Once you pay the non-refundable processing fee of $48 and submit the application, Maple Street School will receive the results of the analysis. There are required documents listed below that must be submitted. These
documents can be uploaded to SSS. Maple Street School’s Financial Aid Committee cannot process an application until receipt of all documents.

Documents required:

  1. Completed 2016 Form 1040 and supporting schedules, W2 form(s) and/or 1099 form(s)
  2. If your 2016 1040 is not completed, a copy of your 2015 1040 and copies of your 2016 W2 and/or 1099 will be accepted. A copy of your 2016 1040 must be uploaded to SSS by April 30th.


Award letters are sent to returning families on or about February 15th and new families after March 1st. Applications can only be processed and awards given once all required materials are received.
