Athletics
The Athletics program at Maple Street School is designed to promote personal growth for our students while generating hugely valuable community strength and school spirit.
In Maple Street's Upper School, grades 5-8, our interscholastic program is comprised of gender-specific teams in soccer during the fall and basketball during the winter. These teams compete with all local middle schools, and the values of cooperation, sportsmanship, and commitment to one's team are emphasized. Hard work toward the pursuit of individual goals has also resulted in Maple Street graduating countless experienced athletes who go on to compete in their secondary schools and colleges, with many taking leading roles and competing at high levels.
In our Lower School, we offer co-ed soccer and basketball teams that have a developmental approach. An age-appropriate introduction to interscholastic competition is offered with our 3rd/4th grade soccer and 1st/2nd & 3rd/4th grade basketball programs. We also offer an instructional soccer program for 1st/2nd grade students, focusing on player development through fun games. These teams are led by outstanding volunteer parent coaches.
Students also take advantage of after-school offerings in skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating through our JISP program during the winter months.
